Not a stupid question at all: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Call it shock, call it PTSD, call it what you like. At the time I didn’t really want to make it sound more dramatic than it was, and I didn’t want to give too much away, so I kept the details to my chest. Acronyms are part of that I suppose!
Somehow I still haven’t asked those involved whether it’s alright to post about this event on the web, not that I’d give personally identifying details, but I don’t want to do it without permission.
