I was looking at the webcam of a news radio station here in the UK and was surprised to see the way that the presenters had been staying interested in the cricket game being covered that day; a bottle of wine for company.
I’d thought that drinking was banned for BBC employees while on-air but apparently this wasn’t the case today!

OK, I give up. Re the great new T-shirt self portrait on Flickr: is it a map of Ireland with east oriented toward the top and a determined young man shaking his fist and pissing on England? ‘Cause I’m open to any other plausible explanation, but that’s about the size of what the shirt design’s saying to these time-addled old eyes….

Yeah, send the Mental Health Officers ’round to collect me; I’ve obviously gone off the deep end. You have no idea how many times I magnified that image, desperately trying to figure out what “country” was represented by that “map.” Switzerland? Macedonia? Croatia? West Riding? And what possible significance the posture of the human figure might display….
Obviously it’s all just a subliminal message trying to tell me I need a vacation and a little bit of time on the beach, myself.
Still kind of like the idea of the Irishman waving his dick defiantly at Britain, though. Take that, Lord Protector Cromwell!
